Williamson & Company leaded glass lamp. These lamps seem to never come up for auction which make them highly collectible. The lamp measures 20" in diameter and stands 26" tall. The shade has no repairs and is in excellent condition. Has an art nouveau flairr with a lot of great glass and detail. The center design actually appears to be stylistic owls with multi-faceted jewels for eyes. The background glass is bent perfectly giving the shade a perfect round form. It is done in a nice, warm amber. There is a perfect combination of the glass used in the pattern against the background. The colorful glass used in the pattern is all granite backed. This helps it stand out and accent the lamp. The colors are very strong and unique to this lamp. The quality of the leading and choice of glass is exceptional. Look at the close up details. The glass is even better in person. The base is an original 3 socket Williamson. It has it's original finish and hardware. The great part about Williamson bases is the cluster. It has a cast cluster that each arm has 2 pieces held together with a screw. When you remove the screw, it exposes the wiring making it easier to fix. The base design compliments the shade perfect. At some point, someone drilled 2 holes in the base. My best guess was to secure it as a newel post lamp or something. I am selling the lamp as is but if the buyer wants it repaired, I can put them in contact with a couple different people that can fix it flawlessly. It is a great lamp and someone is going to really enjoy it. I can't say enough about this lamp. Williamson lamps rarely come up for auction and this one is all original.
