Description: A superb example of this regiment's helmet in near mint condition. Made of yellow brass with silver-plated Russian Imperial eagle. There is a polychrome enameled cockade in the shape of the star of the order of St. Andrew First Called reserved exclusively for the elite Life-Guards regiments. Leather backed brass chinscale is also silver plated. The sweatband is leather and the liner is red (regimental color). Maker's marking of FOKIN in St. Petersburg (The largest maker of this type of helmets for the Russian Imperial army at the turn of the XX century). Condition: Superb original condition, though shows minor wear, patina and cosmetic scratches on metal parts.
