Canada..This is the only pole Dalbert has created in the past 10 yrs...Dalbert is over 75 yrs old, he is a respected elder in the Haida nation and has created this pole in the yr 2004 completely by hand with no outside help whatsoever from a single piece of old Old grwoth Red Cedar...measures approx 28" high 6" wide and 4" deep..Antiques Roadshow appraised 3 of Dalberts masks at $3200.00 a few years back on T.V....Dalbert Weir's great grandfather is Cheif Charles Edenshaw master carver from the 1800's. Dalbert is also 1st cousin to Robert Davidson but more of an uncle to Robert...If you are in Vancouver you can see Dalbert's other works at the Museum of Anthropology,  University of British Columbia.  Dalbert Weir hepled to create the large totem pole that sits out front of the Museum as well as other artifacts inside.
