RARE Giant Christmas Bubble Light Candles Display Start Price USD 800.00 Current Price USD 800.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, September 05, 2008 End Time Friday, September 12, 2008 Location Alexandria, VA See more about 'RARE Giant Christmas Bubble Light Candles Display' Description Rare Giant Christmas Bubble Light Candles Display Late 1930's / Early 1940's Bubble Light Candles Display.  The lamp is in working condition, although the liquid in one of the bubble tubes has evaporated due to a hairline crack in the beaded tip.  The picture shown with the snowman is the way I have it displayed.  The base of the lamp is made of wood on top and bottom with styroform in the middle.  The styroform has pitting and has yellowed some from age.  The stand measures approximately 12" wide and the tall bubble tubes are each approximately 12" tall.  This lamp is rare and very hard to find in any condition.  The snowman lights comes with it.  See pictures for more detail. These tall bubbling candle tubes have colored liquid, and when they get warm, have very rapid bubbling action.  The candle flames are mouth blown with original frosted tips.  These frosted tips appear somewhat like old frosted snow.  The wooden base of this lamp has an original green velvet type coating.  It has not been painted. Notice the early wiring, with no electrical sockets.  The light bulbs screw directly into the wooden base.
