There's nothing significant about the flag itself and I couldn't tell you when it was made. It's framed with real wood (I couldn't tell you what kind) and not sealed with any kind of glass, plexiglass, etc. This gives is a really cool vibe that would be great for a cabin, lake house or something like that.
