LLADRó HOLY FAMILY NATIVITY w/ ORIGINAL BASE and BOX Offered for your consideration is the authentic Lladró holy family nativity figurine #2198 from my personal collection. This piece has been treasured over the years, and it is still in perfect condition. This expressive piece is known as "A King Is Born" on Lladró collector web sites. The original Spanish title is "Jesus, Maria y José". It was created by artist, José Puche. It was first issued in 1990 and was retired in 2002. The piece I am offering here is marked on the bottom "Lladró Hand Made In Spain DAISA 1989", so I believe this particular piece must be one of the earliest pieces actually produced in this particular design. The piece is from the Lladró "gres" collection. It has a matte finish. Gres is described on the Lladró web site as follows: "Lladró borrows inspiration from the colors of the earth to create its sculptures in gres, a material whose earthy tonality and matte finish adds warmth to the pieces, and allows for a wide spectrum of colors thanks to the use of enamels." This piece comes to you with its original wooden base in its original box and packaging for shipping. The estimated shipping weight of this package is 13.5 lbs. A special note to bidders....
