All exposed screw holes are recessed and plugged with matching wood. Our bread box is built from solid 3/4" white pine, with a peg board back for ventilation. It is shipped fully assembled. We use only the finest finishing products. This breadbox is stained in Early American stain, which is a medium oil stain. Each piece will take the stain differently, bringing out the grain, knots, and swirls in the wood. We then use a spray lacquer coat, followed by 2 - 3 finish coats. Our process leaves our furniture with a fine, smooth finish and an old country look.We have been in business since 1985.  We are a true "Mom & Pop" operation. (Actually Grandma & Grandpa).  All of our pieces are built one at a time, not mass produced.  And all the work is done by us in beautiful northern Wisconsin.  IMPORTANT!!! We ship UPS ground only.  We can not ship to PO boxes.  If you live in Canada, we need your phone number in order to ship to you.The shipping cost includes insurance and all new packing materials.  Your shipping cost is at the best possible rate but please keep in mind the packing materials are not free to us.  In most cases, the amount we charge for shipping does not cover all of the costs associated with the shipping.  In addition, due to the high cost of fuel, all carriers now charge a fuel surcharge for each box shipped.  There are also fees for residential delivery, rural deliver, and extended rual delivery.  All of those extra fees add up.  We charge the UPS calculated charge plus an additional $2.00 to cover the other expenses.     Payment is required within 7 days of auction close.  If purchasing as "buy it now" payment is required immediately.  We accept and prefer paypal.  We may accept money order or certified check if contacted first.  If paying by money order or certified check, please make payable to The Bargain Bin.  Mail along with printed copy of invoice.We ship UPS. Our pieces are shipped fully assembled. The only exception to this is items with a hutch top. The hutch top will be shipped in a separate box and will need to be attached. Our flat rate shipping is for the continental US only!  For shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or anywhere else, contact us for shipping rates.The flat rate shipping charge is based on the average actual shipping cost for each piece.  In most cases the shipping fee doesn't even cover the cost of packing materials.  Our pieces are all very carefully packaged using 1" - 3" of styrofoam.  Because of the higher gas prices, UPS now charges a fuel surcharge, as well as a residential delivery charge, rural delivery charge, and extended rural delivery charge.  Additional shipping fees charged by UPS can range from $2 - $12 depending on the piece and where it is going.  We do not charge any more than the actual average cost of shipping for each piece.  As soon as gas prices go down and the UPS charges go down, our shipping fees will also go down.
