This is a truly spectacular and BIG souvenir building AND IT IS NOT THE 1976 recast of this classic cast iron bank building. It is a not so miniature metal replica of Independence Hall in Philadelphia. This is a casting produced sometime between the 1876 original and the 1976 copy and has none of the markings common to either of those other pieces. Made of cast iron with creat detail, this is an assembled piece (can be taken apart using a few screws) and stands 10" tall on a 9" by 8" base. Superbly cast piece, it is also a coin bank. THis example is in superb condition, as cast, and without any problems to report except for one or two tiny spots of discoloration toe the finish. Very tiny. Do not confuse this with cheaply made cast iron bank reproductions. The iron texture is smooth and the detail is great. As you can imagine its a heavy sucker.
