This outstanding pottery pipe has a birds head bowl with its beak going inside the mouth of a serpent who has a dogs head coming off from its back. The dogs head is a figural whistle with the remainder of the shaft being in the form of a plant stock. It comes in the original fitted case. It dates from the early 19th Century and measures 8 + 3/8 inches long by 3 inches tall by about an inch wide across the bowl. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, just some wear on the case and one of the hinge pins is missing. Case is as is. Shipping, Handling, and Insurance Charges will be paid by Buyer.
