German Hand & Half Sword Maker Marked.RARE' Description Beautiful Knight's hand and a half sword in fantastic condition, with an awesome large double-edged blade, very strong and sturdy, most likely cleaned in the past now with nice smooth patina and occasional fine pitting, deeply struck with a maker on ricasso. Elaborate steel hilt with large recurved cross-guard with twisted fluted finials and awesome large pommel en suite. Leather wrapped wooden grip is solid as well as the entire hilt, aged wear to leather which could have been redone in later periods. Spectacular condition overall and an exceptionally handsome example of this early knight's weapon.  Length 44". Blade 35 1/2".  Place a Bid!
