The particularity of the connection is the direct contact inside which does not required  wires so it can be manipulated  in any shape or form desired , all the moving part  possibly moving at a 180  %  angle  .It can be use as a sconce using the original connector ( present) , mounted  as a desk lamp ( on a cast iron base) or as a floor lamp .While it has been cleaned  I left its original patina .Those have been used in an industrial setting so they have small dent and nick  but they are in working condition.  It can be chromed if desired but I found it more interesting that way. If desired I can spray some silicone  to protect against moisture.
