The beaded flower has a shimmering gold centre surrounded by shimmering dark blue and matte turquoise beads. The stems are beaded in shimmering dark blue while the buds are shimmering dark blue and matte turquoise beadwork. The leaves are beaded in a matte leaf green and a shimmering leaf green. The edging of the flap is also beaded in shimmering dark blue beads.I purchased this gorgeous handcrafted collectible piece at the Native Friendship Centre in High Prairie, Alberta sometime during the 1980's. This item was designed by a local Woodland Cree native with exceptional traditional beadwork skills. The inside of the heavy cream wool bag is lined in grey cotton.
