This is a extremely very very very rare 1st Edition of Third Oldest ever printed English and Siamese Dictionary. The first oldest is Dictionarium Latinum Thai ad usum missionis Siamensis et Typographia Collegii Assumptionis B.M.V. in 1950. The second oldest foreign dictionary for Thai language is Pallegoix; Dictionarium Lingui E Thai sive Siamensis interpretatione Latina being printed in Paris Jussu Imperatoris Impressum 1854. This is the second oldest and may be the first being printed in Siam by Mission Press (the press was owned by Dan Beach Bradley, M.D.) in 1865 (HRM King Rama IV period). This book was written and typed by S.G. Macfarland who was the father of George B. Macfarland who was the famous western medical doctor in Siam (พระอาจวิทยาคม). This is the first edition book being printed only 400 copies and contains 7,500 words and off the press in its tenth edition around pre 1900. The document is in English. It has 343 pages. The document is complete. The document is in good condition when considering its age of over 150 years. The Macfarland Family History book in Thai language being printed in 1950 on the funeral of George B. Macfarland in was given as a complimentary to the buyer.
