It is named Erbenochile or big eyes. VERY RARE new find The most diagnostic features of this cylindrical eyes, each tiled with approx 560 lenses. These unique eyes gave the animal the ability to see in all directions at once without turning its head. The fossil measures approx  2 x 1 1/4 inches and matrix is 4 x 3 1/2 inches. Excellent prep work on this trilobite. (spectacular) It shows a dark brown patina. This unique specimen is suitable for a museum or private collection.
