Easel Back Valentine Unsold fm. Mo. Ct. Store' Description Several years ago, I purchased the contents of an old Country Store, in Osage Bluff Missouri. It opened in 1894, as  " The Jacob's Store ", SEE   PHOTO...........and in 1906 sold to The Hirshman family. I found 2 very Large, old , old, Valentines, in the oldest part of the Store. I know these to be of the Jacob's era, of ownership. The card measures 13 " tall and 12 1\2 ", at the widest part. It has an attached post card, on a cardboard spring, with a little Dutch Boy, so probably German. This area of Missouri was a huge German Settlement. The front of the card, is very clean. The back shows some foxing and some staining from storage, but none comes through to the front. All the attachements on held, by metal gromets. The easel back, is very sturdy, as it has not been used. A very neat piece, with a lot of History. Place a Bid!
