Ingraham Cabinets was a Connecticut based maker of fine wood cabinets, and were famous for the fine clocks and cases the artisans there produced. The result is a line of the finest looks and quality ever made in the United States. Collectors are very appreciative of these radios and some collect only these fine sets. The wood cabinet retains its factory original knobs, grille, grillcloth, and chassis. Be sure to check out all pictures of this example as I am sure that you will agree it is spectacular. This mantle radio has a beautiful inlay racetrack that outlines the front of this beautiful radio. It also features a distinctive stepped base and sides. A butterfly shaped cutout decorates the front and outlines the original Emerson metal plate and behind the knobs are the original brass escutcheons. This classic design would make an exceptional, unique gift.
