The collection includes 51 exquisite offset lithos signed and numbered by each artist. The prints are made on heavy #90 archival watercolor paper with deckled edges top & bottom. The collection also includes a 114 page Absolut Statehood book that has a two page spread dedicated to each artist and is signed by the books’ photographer, Antonio Alia Guccione. The Statehood campaign for Absolut Vodka was the second phase of the award winning Absolut Artist campaign, which featured well known artists starting with Andy Warhol 1985.  The lucky artists selected from each of the 50 states and Washington D.C. were commissioned to create a work of art that depicted their state in their particular style and medium and include the product in any manner. This artistic freedom lead to many unique and innovative advertisements as well as some controversy.  Absolut commissioned Kevan Smith of Idaho to create a second work after the state administration balked at a satirical image that they felt negatively depicted their state. The rejected Absolut Idaho is printed in the same specs and is a bonus print to this collection!  A full page lithograph of the individual Absolut Statehood ads ran each month in USA Today during 1992 and 1993.   Place a Bid!
