1891, THE NATURAL BRIDGE OF VIRGINIA. Shenandoah Valley Antique article entitled, THE NATURAL BRIDGE OF VIRGINIA. Shenandoah Valley. By Katherine Loomis Parsons. The Natural Bridge was once owned by Thomas Jefferson, who built a visitors' cabin and kept a guest book. The Natural Bridge, a limestone arch, is 215 feet high and has a span of 90 feet. A public highway crosses the bridge in the present day. This interesting magazine article was removed from the July, 1891 issue of "New England Magazine." The article is 16 pages in length and has 14 illustrations. The dimensions of each page of this magazine article are 6 1/2" X 9 1/2".
