This edition contains numerous articles, several well known names of personalities, Tombstone residents and advertisements, some of which are listed below including the publishers own unique FULL PAGE rambling opening statement concerning a pending change in circulation, and stance on Tombstone politics. (NOTE WE HAVE SLIGHTLY EDITED THE BELOW CONTENT & CONTEXT TO PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE EDITION AND SO AS TO LIMIT ANY UNAUTHORIZED RE-PRODUCTION. READING"TO THE PUBLIC OF TOMBSTONE, THE COMMERCIAL ADVERTISER has now appeared 3- consecutive Saturdays and as I may say, at every man's door inside of this city, and, better still, I am happy to state that the little sheet has, at all times, been received with a friendly "thank you," excepting only in one single instance-and which one was not worth any mention." As I have been requested, by a number of my readers, to change the COMMERCIAL from a weekly to a daily paper, I have, after considering the matter, come to the conclusion of giving it a trial, provided the people of Tombstone are willing to give their support. What I propose to do is to run an INDEPENDENT journal entirely free from any support whatsoever from any Office, Man or Clique. The aim will be to further the public good, and shall, therefore, have to depend on the public for their support, not only by their subscription and advertising but also their moral support; if you are willing to to do your part I am sure I shall strive to do mine. The paper will, for the present, be at the same size as heretofore, and the price of 12 1/2 cents per week will be charged. I have delivered in this city, alone, ---- copies every Saturday, if I can obtain one half that number, as subscribers, I shall make the change, if not, it will pay for the labor and material used, and shall, in that case, not undertake to make the change... The COMMERCIAL will, as before stated, be run Independent, and will, at not time, allow itself to be used for the purpose of blackmailing or anything disreputable... Some of the ads contained: FLY'S Photographic Gallery C.S. Fly (Proprietor), G.F. Spangenberg (Pioneer Gunsmith & Locksmith), Uncle Myers (Diamonds & Jewelry), Tombstone Corral (H.H. Tuttle), Joe Hoefler (Gen. Merchandise), D.R.M. Thompson (Saddle & Harnessmaker), Otto W. Giesenhoffer (City Bakery), Cosmopolitan Hotel ( C. Bilicke Proprietor), Alhambra Saloon, Andy's Club Saloon, American Hotel (Miss Nellie Cashman & Mrs. T.J. Cunningham Proprietors), Myers Hotel, Brown's Hotel, etc... Top stories: A PREMATURE EXPLOSION ON CONTENTION HILL (nearly fatal) several men injured and mutilated, HE CARRIED A POP regarding a young boy by the name of Willie Simms (accidentally shot himself while playing with a pistol), NO ANSWER YET The Mayor convinced it is his duty to take part in the suit to defend the city, FIRE ON TOUGHNUT STREET Several buildings destroyed, low water to blame, SMALL POX ON THE STEAMER ALTENOWER in San Francisco (quarantined), SHERIFF BEHAN / SUPERVISOR JOYCE & DR.
