Description: Traditional shape Caucasus style Cossack kindjal type dagger. Black horn hilt is decorated with silver fittings embellished with chased and nielloed ornamentation. The wooden brown leather covered scabbard has silver fittings decorated en suite with the handle. The large double edged straight blade has a large marking of the Zlatoust Arms Factory and the date of 1872. The scabbard is marked with nielloed owner's initials in Russian "H. B. " and the date "1876," Russian Imperial silver marks of 84 zolotniks and silver master's initials "AT." Condition: Very good original condition, though showing some wear.
