Please reference Barlow's 'A Guide to Sandwich Glass: Kerosene Lamps and Accessories' for more information and many examples of these shades in full size. Thin lightweight shade, with the signature rolled-over top found on the full size period shades. Extremely well done decoration all around the body of the shade, the bird on the front with the wheat and green leaves, additional decoration on the back of the shade. Faint traces of the original gold tracery at the very bottom edge of the shade. Model number on the inside '306'. The shade is 4 7/16" across, and 2  1/6" tall. Small clamshell flake at the very bottom fitter edge, absolutely no harm, otherwise flawless with no crack or breaks, no loss to the paint. Outstanding early period Victorian Salesman's Sample shade, excellent addition to any early lighting collection. * * *Buyer will pay P/S/I.
