Get Vendio Gallery today! This photo is one of my favorites..I had 3 positives of this shot when I bought the collection and all are gone except this last photo..Shows a 1924 New York City Department of Sanitation Truck making their Garbage pickup on Lafayette street in lower Manhattan.2 of the workers doing nothing while the 3rd stands on a Garbage Can and empty's his load into the Truck and driver remains at wheel. What a Gig. I wonder if they still had a dump in Staten Island in 1924? Lafayette street still looks the same.I Love this Truck ..Absolutely a Gem to any Man who ever worked Sanitation for the City or any resident on Lafayette Street or any Business,or Bar on the Street in So Ho..A really Classic Photo and the absolute last to be had! It comes to you unframed and is sized 16x20 and taken from the Original Glass Plate Negative..
