The image is in great condition with a small amount of tarnish and a couple of mat scrapes around the mat opening. I have inspected with a loop and as far as I can tell all the spots and marks are on the glass not on the resilvered plate. His face has light tinting. The leather on wood case has geometric designs and has a split spine. The original tape seals are attached to the plate but are very brittle and have come apart from the mat although I have not taken the image out of the preserver. The mat is stamped "J.Gurney, 189 Broadway NY." on the bottom middle. Condition is very subjective so please see photos below for your judgment on condition before you bid.
